If you think you have the capacity to impress six of Ireland's leading creative types, enough for them to let you work alongside them, then get your arty little self down to Project in Temple Bar, Dublin 2. The PSP Amaze Me project involves photographer Perry Ogden, pop sensations The Chalets and milliner Philip Treacy setting creative challenges to up-and-coming art, fashion and design talents. Co Donegal fashion designer Pauric Sweeney, for example, has set a challenge which goes right to the heart of the female condition. The prize is a placement in his Florence studio, where he is designing a new collection of handbags made of crocodile, alligator, mink, sting ray and lizard. "What's inside your bag is very secret and precious," his challenge reads. "The contents of a bag are very personal and can reveal a lot about you. Empty your bag out without changing what's inside, take a picture and amaze me. I'll be interested to see whether people stick to the brief, and how people use their imaginations," Sweeney says. "It really comes down to how the public interact with the installation." The PSP Amaze Me installation was designed by SHOWstudio and runs every day except Sunday, 10am-6pm, until December 9th.
