CLARE THEATRE

New theatre company Likely Hailstones perform Tom Murphy's Bailegangaire, opening tomorrow night in the wonderful Cois na hAbhna venue in Ennis. The show runs until Saturday and tickets are priced €10/ €8. Tel: 065-6824276

CHESTER BEATTY

Described by Lonely Planet as one of the best museums in the world, this library has a large collection of old religious manuscripts, as well as ancient Egyptian texts. Currently, a visiting Indian exhibition from the 17th century is on view. Open 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 11am-5pm Saturday and 1pm-5pm Sunday. Admission is free. See cbl.ie.

KIDS INDOORS

Go Safari, an indoor play area, is one of the best around and features zip wires, an indoor climbing wall and children’s play area, as well as a cafe. It’s within easy reach of Cork city, close to Fota Island. Open seven days a week. See gosafari.ie.

CONNEMARA PONY SHOW

This annual show takes place tomorrow and Friday in the showgrounds in Clifden, and includes competitions, Irish dancing, dog shows and a host of other events. The event prides itself on being the largest display of Connemara ponies in the world. See cpbs.ie or tel 095-21863.

ADAM’S ART

Adam's Auctioneers is presenting a loan exhibition called The French Connectionat its new gallery on the Clandeboye Estate outside Bangor until September 3rd.
