HAITI LIVES

In the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake, the Irish public responded with enormous generosity. Oxfam is exhibiting a collection of photographs of the aftermath of the disaster. Daily at the Powerscourt Townhouse until the end of July. 01-6794144

BOG MEADOWS WALK

What do you do with urban floodplains? Belfast City Council has come up with a novel urban walk through the flora and fauna close to the Falls Road. The route has won several awards and at just over a mile long, it's a perfect stop-off during a visit to the city. All this week, visitors to Altamont Gardens in Carlow can participate in the first Rose Week. There are guided tours by head gardener Paul Cutler at 2pm daily.
