MS gets tough

CLOTHES LINES:Given that these are tough times, it's not surprising that a leather jacket will be the key fashion item for autumn/winter, along with a focus on a stronger and more pronounced shoulderline. At a preview of the MS winter collection in London recently, winning items included leather jackets with knit inserts, very much in the style of Rick Owens, hard glitter, lurex jackets with defined shoulders and silver/black leggings, all at affordable price points.

But the big surprise for winter is the Per Una collection, whose new designer Helen Lowe has given it a cleaner, more eye-catching combination. Deliveries are due to Dublin in late August.
