FOXROCK: €1.6 MILLION:A HOUSE ON Hainault Road in Foxrock, Dublin 18, is selling for €1.6 million, after several price cuts over the past four years. Savills is handling the sale.

The seven-bedroom house plus a detached two-bedroom mews on a third of an acre initially went on sale for €4 million in September 2007. By September 2009, the price was down to €2.25 million.

Now the reduced price of €1.6 million includes not just the mews house, but also a 0.3-acre site which has outline planning permission for a four-bedroom detached house. The house and mews without this site will cost €1.05 million.

The house, which is in walking distance of Foxrock village, was built in the 1950s. It has a copper roof. The property was extended and revamped in 1989.
