ROSS SOUTER Johnson, son of interior designer Peter Johnson, is launching a brocante or second-hand furniture market on Newmarket, off Cork Street, Dublin 8 starting this Sunday, November 15th.
In the same building as the Dublin Flea market, it will feature second-hand furniture, live music and a café. Good buys include a 1950s mahogany drinks cabinet with a satinwood skirt that was €630 but is now €450 and a 1930s sandalwood desk that was €550 and now is €330. The market will take place on the third Sunday of every month in the co-op in Newmarket, 11am to 5pm. www.newmarketbrocante.com
