Two enterprising Dublin brothers, Jonathan and Mark Legge, have just opened a new shop stocking small furniture pieces and accessories, called “a shop”. It’s in a former drawing room of a Georgian house at 27 South William Street and will only exist for four weeks, until December 28th. It will sell a “modest” collection the pair claim has been carefully curated, with only a limited number of each item for sale.

Their choice is drawn from Irish and international design and craft such as Joe Hogan’s willow baskets (below), the original Avoca blankets made in Kerry, Martino Gamper’s Arnold Circus stools, Lucienne Day tea towels, Study O Portable jewellery, a lamp by Konstantin Grcic and other items.

Jonathan Legge studied at the RCA under Ron Arad, gaining a master’s in product design, and currently works in London with Ilse Crawford at Studioilse, while brother Mark worked in Dublin and Berlin after completing a master’s in project management. See www.ashop.ie.
