This 1950s cocktail chair is one of a collection of about 10 Scandinavian originals that Gerard Croft, formerly of the Sofa Factory, has in stock to upholster any way you might fancy.
His new company, Sofa Chairs ( sofaandchairs.ie) reimagines original and antique furniture, as well as making new pieces. This one (70cm high, 50cm wide and 43cm deep) has cherry arms and is dressed in a sunny yellow velvet with white piping detail. The back has a flute stitch detail to match how these chairs were originally finished. It normally sells for €875. The first Bargain Hunter to call can buy it for €609.
