This weekend is Africa Fashion Weekend at Thomas Prior Hall in Ballsbridge, Dublin. The event, the brainchild of Stha Ngwenya, a Zimbabwean who has lived in Ireland for nine years, will showcase fashion and innovative design from African designers.
Eric Raisina is one of the few African designers showcased in New York at the Arise Promise of Africa Collective show for the spring/summer 2010 show, and will exhibit at the show. Raisina has created textiles for Yves St Laurent, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Lacroix – and his work has been modelled by Iman and featured in fashion glossies such as Elle and Harper’s Bazaar.
