Goodness gracious, what in the name of Timothy Leary do we have here? Experimental rock, psychedelic rock, alt. rock, neo-psychedelia and psychedelic pop – they're all grist for the creative, musical mill of Ben Goldwasser and Andrew VanWyngarden. To think that, four years ago, no one outside their immediate group had any notions whatsoever of chart success or media coverage, and yet today MGMT stand proud and firm as recipients of various Grammys, the minds behind one of this year's better albums ( Congratulations), and the instigators of a legal dispute with the president of France, Nicholas Sarkozy. Phew! Neo-psychedelia, eh?

The good news is that MGMT are in for three consecutive nights at the same venue.
