Interpol at Trinity College: Stage times, set list, ticket information, how to get there and more

Everything you need to know about the band’s concert on Friday, June 30th

It’s already been more than 20 years since Interpol released their iconic debut album, Turn On the Bright Lights – feeling old yet? The band are swinging by Ireland this week as part of a Europe and North America tour, and they’ve been busy on the festival circuit over the summer months.

The band reconvened in 2021 after remotely writing some songs during the pandemic, which later turned into material for The Other Side of Make-Believe, the group’s latest record. So what can we expect from their concert in Dublin this week?

When do they play?

The concert is on at Trinity College Dublin on Friday, June 30th.

What time should I arrive?

Gates open at 7pm. Times are subject to change and updates can be checked for here. Due to increased traffic and security measures, concertgoers are advised to be at the venue in sufficient time.

How do I get there?

The concert organisers have instructed fans to walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the concert as there will be no parking facilities on site. They have advised ticket holders to plan for at least an extra 1½ hours travel time to and from the venue as traffic delays are inevitable. Stewards will be directing crowds and there is no entry via the Front Square or Nassau Street gates. The entry point is via Lincoln Place Gate.

By Dart: The Dart will run services to and from the gig via Pearse Street station. The last train northbound leaves at 12.03am, the last train southbound leaves at 12.16am. For more information see irishrail.ie.

By bus: Dublin Bus run services right up to Trinity College. The bus routes serving Nassau Street, just outside the venue, are: 11, 37, 38, 38A, 38D, 39A and 70.

Are there any tickets left?

Yes. At the time of writing there are still some tickets available at ticketmaster.ie. Buy tickets from accredited sources only.

What’s the story with security?

This concert is strictly over-18s and ID will be required. Allow time for security checks on the way in. Bags larger than A4 size will not be permitted and all bags may be searched, this can be time-consuming so consider going bagless for easier entry. There will be no cloakroom or storage facilities. No umbrellas, alcohol, garden furniture, selfie sticks, flares, glasses or cans, among other items, will be allowed into the event.

Can I take photographs at the concert?

Yes, but only with a smartphone or small camera. Professional cameras with a detachable lens and any other recording equipment are banned.

What’s the weather forecast?

Met Éireann is forecasting a dull, overcast and muggy day with intermittent rain. Highest temperatures of 19 degrees. Perhaps a rain jacket wouldn’t go amiss.
