INVISIBLE

, as the title suggests, is an art project that explores “the unseen, overlooked or hidden”. Jonathan Swift is quoted: “Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.” Curators Oliver Dowling, John Graham and Margaret O’Brien set out “to look for the truth beyond appearances”.

Work by nine artists can be seen at the Original Print Gallery, and six feature at The Back Loft (c/o La Catedral Studios, 7-11 St Augustine St, off Thomas St). At DIT's Fine Art Department (Portland Row) you'll find pieces by four artists, and three at The Digital Hub (Crane St, with outdoor projection by Sarah Pierce at the corner of Thomas St and Watling St, Fri-Sun 6pm- midnight only). Hannah Breslin's work can be seen in IMMA's What happens nextis a secret, John Graham is at the Project Arts Centre (39 East Essex St, Temple Bar); Cliona Harmey at Independent Studio Artists Ltd (Studio 5, 11 Eustace St, Temple Bar); Sofie Loscher at Temple Bar Gallery Studios; and Clodagh Emoe at the National Gallery of Ireland, where she stages a once-off event.
