More addictive than Scrabble, Words with Friendsand many other word puzzle games, WELDERis impossible to put down. Build words on the 8x8 grid by swapping the position of tiles, clearing them from the grid and creating a set number of words to complete each level. You build words by swapping letters, starting with a simple side-by-side swap. As the levels progress, you get more complicated swaps, such as reverse and jump moves. The more points you score, the more extra swaps you earn as you move through the levels. You will get an extra five for every 250 points you score. As you might guess, running out of swaps, whether standard, jump or reverse, will mean the end of the game. Occasionally you get a gold tile that doubles the points earned for each word, a diamond encrusted one that triples the score, and a platinum tile multiplies by four. And to make things more complex, the game periodically throws in broken or "hot" tiles, neither of which can be moved through swaps. You have to take these out by forming words around them, and earn yourself bonus points into the bargain. The game also indulges the social trend, allowing you to share your best words and scores on Facebook and Twitter. Simple yet addictive.
