Street Fighter IV

12 cert, Capcom, iPhone Street Fighter IVhas hit the iPhone, winning new fans over to a classic game. It first appeared on consoles last year, but the iPhone version has been completely rebuilt.

Included are eight classic characters, among them Ryu, Blanka and M Bison, and seven environments, with some gameplay favourites such as unique attacks, special moves and super combos .

The absence of a joypad or keys of any type means the controls are a little more challenging. The visual pad has been designed for the iPhone, with the option to move a position that suits you. Because you rely on a touch screen, it’s easy, for example, to lose your way on the controls without realising it. Less experienced players may have to rely on the SP move assist, which allows you to easily trigger a character’s special moves. The obligatory multiplayer mode works over Bluetooth, so you can battle head to head with friends wirelessly.

This is an excellent way to pass the time, and a great mobile addition to the Street Fighter line-up.
