The NBA may be in turmoil, but the NBA 2K franchise is back with its latest instalment and it's better than ever. Not only are the graphics better, but the controls have been tweaked and the AI has had some kinks worked out of it. There has been a move recently among sports games to push the presentation to new levels, making it more realistic, edging it closer to what you'd see on TV. NBA 2K12is no exception. It takes it to another level with the Greatest mode, where you can play as some of the basketball greats. The game includes some incredible period detail, from the arenas and uniforms to how they would have been broadcast on TV. Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Julius Erving and Michael Jordan are among the 15 heroes you can pit against each other, allowing you to put an end, once and for all, to the old argument over who would emerge victorious.
