When your portfolio includes one of the most popular iOS games ( Fruit Ninja), people will expect a lot from the rest of your releases. Jetpack Joyride, Halfbrick's new game, is shaping up to be a good addition. You are the oddly named hero Barry Steakfries, who is trying to rescue the jetpacks from the clutches of evil. Unfortunately, this involves breaking into a secret lab and swiping them from under the noses of the evil scientists. Fortunately, the scientists aren't much of a challenge. Like all good mobile games, it's based on a simple premise: run like hell and avoid being killed. You start off with a basic machine-gun jetpack, but power-ups transform your transport into a teleporter, a jet-powered robot and even a mechanical bird. Jetpack Joyrideis an addictive, clever game that will suck up your free time.
