Did you know that this year marks (by one reckoning, anyway) the 200th anniversary of Chile’s independence from Spain? Well, you do now. To mark the occasion, the Instituto Cervantes and the Embassy of Chile will present the first ever season of Chilean cinema in Ireland.

The event kicks off at the institute on Monday with a screening of Andrés Wood's La Buena Vida. Other films being unspooled include Orlando Lübbert's Taxi Para 3and Marcelo Ferrari's Sub Terra. For further details, contact Tom Kelly, the institute's communications consultant, on 01-6311537.
