As the football season draws to a close and fans face up to 2½ weeks – or is it less? – of round-ball deprivation, the Goethe Institut in Dublin's Merrion Square has been running a season of films and discussions on das schöne Spiel.

There's still time to catch Christoph Hübner's HalfTime, a documentary on the later experiences of youth players at Borussia Dortmund.
