A few years back, Nick Cave, top gloom-Byron, delighted fans by delivering an excellent script for John Hillcoat's Australian western The Proposal.

It’s taken a while for him to follow-up that success and it looks as if he may do so in an unexpected fashion.


Cave is reported to be penning the screenplay for an upcoming remake of the comic-book adaptation The Crow.


Mind you, Cave has a fair number of film projects on the go. There was that Gladiator sequel. There's Death of a Ladies Man. There's an adaptation of Matt Bondurant's The Wettest County in the World for Hillcoat. So I wouldn't release the bats incelebration just yet.
