Birthday bash is wheeled out

The splendid Cinemobile has long been an essential part of the Galway Film Fleadh

The splendid Cinemobile has long been an essential part of the Galway Film Fleadh. The magic bus that converts into a cosy movie theatre celebrated its 10th anniversary yesterday with a party at the Rowing Club.

Brendan Gleeson was special guest at an event that welcomed the “Cinemobile Peoples” of Europe. “It’s a labour of love really,” said manager Noreen Collins: “Working with Cinemobile isn’t just a nine-to-five job. It’s run from the passion we all have for film and the passion we have for supporting small rural communities.” Long may it trundle.
