switchis an annual, week-long international art event that takes place in Tipperary. Initiated by artists Triona Ryan and Harald Turek, the project situates projected film and video works in shop windows and other street- front spaces throughout the town. Viewers don't have to visit a gallery – the town is the gallery.

Selected by Ryan and Turek from submissions far and wide, this year's switchfeatures artists and art collaboratives from the US, Canada, Italy, Scotland and England. Each year, Ryan explains, a theme is circulated and artists are invited to respond with pieces relating to it.

This year the theme is balance, “which is debated, mulled and analysed by the eight participating artists, from nuanced interpretations to explicit physical acts that deal with balancing itself.”

Guided tours are offered on the opening and closing days.
