Man suffers serious injuries in Fairview stabbing

Gardaí are investigating a Dublin attack in which a man was stabbed several times in Fairview on Thursday evening.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital where his injuries are understood to be non-life threatening.

The scene of the assault has been cordoned off by gardaí.

A Garda spokesman said gardaí in Clontarf “were alerted to a serious assault” on Fairview Avenue Lower, Dublin 3, at 8.20pm on Thursday, adding investigations are ongoing.
