Avanade Ireland to create up to 200 new jobs in State

Management consultancy Avanade Ireland said it plans to create up to 200 jobs in the next 18 months as it makes plans to deal with increased demand.

The company, which established itself in Ireland in 2018 with the aim of creating 100 jobs in its first 12 months, currently employs more than 150 people, and plans to double that again in the coming year and a half. Established by Accenture and Microsoft in 2000, the business provides digital, cloud and advisory services to clients across a range of industries including retail, banking and healthcare, using data and AI to help improve engagement and supporting flexible working for staff.

The company has seen a surge in demand for its services as more companies examine their plans for digital transformation in the wake of Covid-19.

“The phenomenal – and growing – demand for our services is a testament to the talented people we have in our organisation and the close partnership we have with Microsoft,” said Adam Kelly, country manager of Avanade Ireland.

Avanade employs more than 56,000 people across 26 countries, and works across Microsoft’s ecosystem of products.
