League of Ireland previews: Red-hot Derry City to host Bohemians

Last week's 4-0 win at St Patrick's Athletic, on the back of a 7-1 trouncing of UCD, further cemented league leaders Derry's title credentials. With just one defeat in six since losing to a stoppage-time goal to Derry at Dalymount last month, Bohemians strive for their first back-to-back wins of the campaign, if unlikely here.

On the rebound from shipping four goals to Dundalk and Derry City respectively, both sides are in need of a boost. Drogheda have lost twice on the spin following a promising six-match unbeaten run. St Pat's title notions were given a reality check by Derry's 4-0 romp by the Camac last week which saw them slump to fifth place.

Shelbourne v Sligo Rovers

As he begins a three-match dugout suspension, Damien Duff's Shelbourne continue to confound. Encouraging wins at Sligo Rovers and leaders Derry City are blotted by the fact they've yet to give their faithful a Tolka Park victory. Having already won at St Pat's and drawn in Tallaght, Sligo travel in the hope of further capital gains.

April brought four wins and a draw from six games – their one defeat at champions Shamrock Rovers – to lift Dundalk onto the coattails of the top two. Having competed well for much of the first quarter of the season, it's gone rightly awry for winless UCD who've lost four on the spin, leaking a worrying 10 goals in their last two games.

With speculation rife around head coach Stephen Bradley's possible departure for Lincoln City, Rovers are eager to remain game-focused ahead of a hectic period which brings further home matches against Sligo Rovers and leaders Derry City over the next eight days. Injury-troubled Harps' focus will be to hold out for anything they may get here.
