Conor Gleeson and Tony Lacey played pivotal roles in Boherlashane/Dualla's success in the final of the FBD All-Ireland GAA Club Golf Challenge at Faithlegg Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday last. Gleeson, who played at midfield for Tipperary in the 1997/98 season, returned an excellent 44 points off a 16 handicap while Lacey was the leader on Saturday with 43 points. Boherlahane/Dualla were convincing winners of the competition. With the three best cards from five counting over two days, the Tipperary club amassed 237 points - an average of 39 1/2 points per player - and won by a massive 23 points. Along with Conor and Tony, the other members of the winning team were PJ Maher, Billy Maher and Seamus Leahy. In second place were the Connacht qualifiers, Allen Gaels with Cavan Gaels third on 213.
