Cultural boycott of Israel

Sir, – People are free to boycott Israel, the world’s only Jewish state, if they so choose.

If, however, those same people are happy to engage with other countries, whose human rights records are objectively far worse than anything Israel has ever done, then I, like many others, will choose to be suspicious of their motives.
