Gardai in Cork have arrested a man after customs officials siezed six kilograms of cocaine at Cork Airport earlier today.

Gardai in Cork have arrested a man after customs officials siezed six kilograms of cocaine at Cork Airport earlier today.

The six kilos of the drug have an estimated street value of half a million euro.

The drug was concealed in the holdall of a 41-year-old man who had arrived in Cork via Amsterdam from Nigeria.

He is currently being questioned by gardai in Cork city.
