Ingredients
- For the sauce:
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1½ tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pack egg tofu or regular tofu, cut into 1-inch pieces
- Vegetable oil (any neutral-tasting oil will do)
- 3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- 1 medium onion, peeled and diced
- 250g pork mince
- 100g green beans, chopped into thirds
- To serve: Cooked rice and a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top
- In a small bowl, mix and combine the soy and oyster sauces, sugar and seasoning. Set aside.
- Heat a wok or a frying pan to medium-high heat and add oil.
- Fry the tofu for three minutes on each side or until slightly golden brown. Remove from pan once golden and set aside.
- In the same pan, sauté garlic and onion for one-two minutes or until the onion is translucent.
- Add the pork mince and stir-fry for five-eight minutes, until fully cooked.
- Add green beans and sauce and stir to combine.
- Add the fried tofu back into the pan and cover to simmer for five minutes.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, serve with a warm bowl of rice and enjoy.
