Craig Leon: Anthology of Interplanetary Folk Music Vol 1

Craig Leon was the go-to producer guy for the likes of Blondie, Suicide, Richard Hell and Ramones in the mid to late 1970s. He went off on something of a tangent, however, when, relocating to LA in 1979, he began to engage with the notion of what extraterrestrial music might sound like – and set about aurally creating just that over the course of two albums. Nommos (1981) and Visiting (1983) are now officially reissued for the first time. Leon's skills as an arranger and composer make his early attempts at space rock supremely fit for purpose.
