The first digital marketing agency aimed at the food and beverage sector in Ireland was launched yesterday.

DigitalFood.ie will focus on developing marketing strategies for food businesses, micro-breweries, distilleries and coffee roasteries.

The launch took place in Cooks Academy on South William Street in Dublin, one of the new agency's clients which also include l'Ecrivain, SonyFood.ie and Nature's Best.

DigitalFood.ie was established by chief executive Conor Lynch as a branch of his company Connector.ie located in Dublin's Digital Hub, after seeing a need for a specific food and drinks marketing agency.

Online world

“They can go around farmers’ markets and that but if you really want to expand you’ve got to master the online world,” Mr Lynch said.

The launch looked at food trends in the sector in Ireland and internationally, and showcased the work of the agency and its clients so far with an aim to “bring the food community and the tech community together”, the chief executive said.

DigitalFood.ie offers services including food branding, digital strategy, storytelling and content marketing, and social media management.

The new agency has also produced a marketing cookbook which outlines its services called The World's Most Delicious Digital Marketing Cookbook.
