Sir, - How convenient that none of the Traveller support groups was available to comment on the reported harassment and intimidation of the local community in Celbridge, Co Kildare (The Irish Times, August 8th).
Can these groups, well-funded by the taxpayer, ever bring themselves to condemn anti-social behaviour carried out by Travellers? No doubt, if this had been a case of settled people intimidating Travellers, your fax machines would have been worn down by now from the volume of statements attacking racism and discrimination. - Yours, etc.,
