Sir, - I welcome Lorna Siggins's report (The Irish Times, August 8th) in which she highlights the barrier for disabled people in Mayo using, or trying to use, Iarnrod Eireann services. But it is most important to point out that all other counties throughout Ireland, including Dublin, are a carbon copy of Mayo, when it comes to accessible public transport for people with disabilities - as the Minister of State for Disability and Equality, Mary Wallace, is aware. - Yours, etc.,
Malachy Foots, Forum of People with Disabilities 1st Floor, 21 Hill Street, Dublin 1.
