LOQED Touch Smart Lock: No more rummaging in your bag or pockets

You can send a digital key to friends, family members or visiting workmen through the app, which can be revoked later

€349

Would you put a smart lock on your home? LOQED – see what they did there? – is offering a lock that cannot only be opened remotely, but also can be completely hands-free. So when you are struggling to the door with your hands full, you can still open the door with an elbow while your keys stay in your pocket. The door lock, which is battery powered, not only opens once your phone is in your pocket, but also works with a personalised code so if your phone battery dies you won’t be locked out. You can send a digital key to friends, family members or even visiting workmen through the LOQED app, and keys can be revoked when they are no longer needed.

The smart lock, which was originally launched in the Netherlands, has SKG certification and – very importantly – uses end-to-end encryption and digital signatures to ensure your home is as secure as possible. It integrates with Google and Amazon digital assistants, and will support the Matter protocol towards the end of the year.
