WING James Craig scored three sparkling tries as Scotland A romped to a landslide, 56-11 victory over Emerging Wales in Edinburgh.
The West of Scotland fliers capitalised on shoddy Welsh midfield play, twice intercepting passes and sprinting clear, and then rounding off a sweeping handling move which left Wales nonplussed.
More than 5,000 spectators packed into Heriots Former Pupils' Goldenacre ground, including a sizeable Welsh contingent, but they booed their side off the pitch at the end after Scotland produced a quality display built around sheer pace.
Despite fielding 10 full internationals and receiving expert coaching from Mike Ruddock and Paul Turner, Wales were never in the game once Craig swooped for his opening score after 18 minutes.
Outside half Scott Welsh chipped in with an immaculate goal kicking contribution slotting 21 points by converting all six tries and adding three penalties.
Wales' occasional attacking glimpses were mainly provided by young Llanelli wing Garan Evans.
