National League: Cork City - 4 Longford Town - 1 The dismissal of Longford Town's Philip Keogh after 63 minutes spoiled an entertaining contest at Turner's Cross last night.

Keogh was shown the red card by referee Paddy Whelan after he had gone into the Cork City dugout to retrieve the ball for a throw-in and apparently clashed with a Cork official.

Cork were two up at half time, through Billy Woods on 22 minutes and John O'Flynn's 45th minute lob.

Seán Francis pulled a goal back for the visitors in the 60th minute but a 30-yard free from Woods on 82 minutes and Kevin Doyle's last-minute strike sealed a comfortable victory for Pat Dolan's side
