A field of 72 teed off in the Leopardstown Golf Centre women's society golf finals on Sunday last. From an entry of over 2,500 for the Kilkenny Design sponsored event over the last three weeks four finals over nine holes were played on Sunday. In the morning Siobhain Byrne from the Friday Flyers returned 40 points to win from Mary Quinn and Margaret Cureen while the second competition went to Thursday Birdies Dorothy Dowling with 33 points off a 35 handicap. Margaret McDonagh was second with 32 and Sue Davitt third on 31 points. Competition in the afternoon was just as keen with Louise Walsh from the Tuesday Larks winning with 38 points from Sandra Walsh 32 and Bernadette Hennigan 31. The second competition was won by Ann Daniels of the Tuesday Swallows with 35 points from Trish Haughton and Nuala Power.
