Wimbledon prize money will increase for the 17th successive year this summer. Total prize money for the championships from June 24th to July 7th is up by 7.3 per cent from £6,025,550 in 1995 to £6,465,910.

Last year Pete Sampras received £365,000 for his victory at Wimbledon. This year the men's singles prize will be £392,500.

Steffi Graf collected £328,000 for her success at the All England Club last year. This year the women's winner will pocket £353,000.
