Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Wilson yesterday snapped up Argentinian Under-23 International Juan Cobian because of a proven track record in playing alongside the likes of the great Maradona and Claudio Caniggia. Cobian becomes Wilson's second signing since he took over at Hillsborough last month, coming just five days after the capture of Dutch International Wim Jonk for £2.5 million from PSV Eindhoven.
The 22-year-old, who is half-Italian and the son of an Argentinian diplomat, has signed a one-year contract with the option for a further deal, arriving from Boca Juniors for a small undisclosed fee.
