JONNY WILKINSON could be rested for Toulon’s Heineken Cup tie against Munster this weekend.
Wilkinson starred in the big-spending French outfit’s 19-14 victory over the Ospreys with a 14-point tally and an assist for Paul Sackey’s late winner.
But the England outhalf (31) is set to miss out as Toulon face a trio of successive away Top 14 clashes at Stade Français, Toulouse and Perpignan following the trip to Thomond Park on Saturday.
Toulon head coach Philippe Saint André said: “I will change some players and rest a few. I have guys like Felipe Contepomi who will start next week.”
The inclusion of ex-Leinster outhalf Contepomi will add extra spice to the Pool Three fixture in Limerick where the Argentinian will face Ronan O’Gara.
