NFL DIVISION FOUR Wicklow 1-15 Leitrim 1-10:REFEREE EAMON McHugh was the main talking point following Wicklow's victory over a 13-man Leitrim played in ideal conditions at Páirc Seán MhicDiarmada, Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.
Despite the dismissal of midfielder Tomás Beirne after seven minutes, Leitrim led at the interval, 1-7 to 0-7, thanks to a goal by Conor Beirne.
Soon after the break Leitrim lost defender Barry McWeeney too. Wicklow rallied and Darren Hayden’s goal 11 minutes from time sealed victory.
