DIVISION THREE: Fermanagh 2-6 Wexford 0-12:WEXFORD GAVE themselves a lifeline at Lisnaskea yesterday when they made a dramatic second-half recovery after trailing by 2-3 to 0-3 at half-time.
The Fermanagh goals came from Mark Murphy in the seventh minute and Eamonn Maguire in 13th minute.
Wexford's fortunes were boosted during the half-time break when Fermanagh corner back Shane Goan was red carded by the referee following an off-the-ball incident with Wexford substitute PJ Banville.
Wexford were a transformed team in the second half and gradually, thanks mainly to their two inside men Matty Forde and Ciarán Lyng, they reeled in Fermanagh's lead.
Then in the 68th minute, against all the odds on their first-half showing, they hit the front for the first time in the match with a point from half back Colm Morris.
However Fermanagh, who had been under siege for most of this half, mounted a last-ditch effort and were rewarded with an equalising point from half back Damien Kelly.
Fermanagh stay top of Division Three with 11 points, while Wexford occupy second spot on 10 points.
