NHL DIVISION TWO Wexford 0-24 Kildare 0-12:WEXFORD LIFTED the gloom but were anything but impressive despite their 12-point victory at Wexford Park yesterday.
Kildare trailed by 0-5 to 0-4 after 20 minutes before Wexford eased into a six-point interval lead.
Wexford’s Harry Kehoe and Peter Atkinson looked sprightly in attack. Points from Atkinson, Colm Farrell, Rory Jacob and Andrew Shore pushed them into a 0-12 to 0-6 interval lead, with Billy White pointing five frees for Kildare. Despite failing to create a real goal chance, Wexford remained in control and led 0-16 to 0-7 lead after 41 minutes.
