Munster Under-21 FC Replay: Two late goals opened up a 10-point lead to ensure that Waterford reached the semi-final of the Munster Under-21 football championship when they defeated Clare at Cusack Park, Ennis yesterday evening.
The opening score came in the seventh minute when Waterford's Billy Harty finished to the Clare net. Midway through the second half Clare still trailed by only that goal, 1-6 to 0-6, but the final 10 minutes saw Waterford steam ahead, a goal by Shane Walsh in the 58th minute inching them closer to the next round.
With half a minute remaining, another goal, this time from substitute Tom Power, sealed victory.
Waterford will now meet Cork on July 30th.
