RACING NEWS:WARCRAFT MADE some headlines for unfortunate reasons at Bellewstown but the Michael Hourigan-trained horse can put the record straight at Killarney this evening.

He lines up in the two-and-three-quarter-mile handicap hurdle under 7lb claimer Adrian Heskin who was still leading Warcraft to the start at Bellewstown 11 days ago when the rest of the field started.

Warcraft was significantly backed down to favouritism for that race and is clearly in good heart right now.

Trying to beat Royal County Star over hurdles at Cork in May was a tough task but he won at Gowran before that and Bellewstown could finally be forgotten about tonight.

Tony Martin gives one of his Galway Plate hopes, Northern Alliance, a spin in the maiden where Johnny Murtagh rides the Ballydoyle horse Moon Indigo.

However, this looks a suitable opportunity for Anak who was running on well enough at Fairyhouse behind Wildfire Blaze last time.

Murtagh’s presence at Killarney looks significant and his teaming up with Apt in the fillies handicap can pay off while soft ground should be no problem to Marhaba Million in the opener and Alan Crowe’s mount can finally break his duck over fences.
