EIGHT TIMES All Ireland club champions Ballymacarbry claimed their fifth women's football sevens title at Marino on Saturday with a comfortable victory over Fergus Rovers.
With many of the side involved with the Waterford panel, Ballymacarby had not fielded a team in the tournament for quite some time, but defeat at the hands of Monaghan in the Semi final this summer signalled the return of the club.
Fergus Rovers no doubt would have wished for less distinguished opponents and one without the likes of Aine Wall who turned the game on its head with an astonishing final tally of 4-2. Wall's eye for goal were only matched by the sublime skills of Analise Crotty whose talents were somewhat underused in the Ballymacarbry goal.
