Shelbourne's defender Pascal Vaudequin will miss this evening's Premier Division game against Sligo Rovers at the Showgrounds, after failing in his attempt to have a five-week suspension declared illegal.
Vaudequin sought to have an interlocutory injunction served on the FAI, restraining them from implementing the ban, imposed after an incident involving the Derry City player, James Keddy in a championship game at Tolka Park last October.
In a significant judgment, however, Mr Justice Costello ruled that Vaudequin and Shelbourne FC were bound by the FAI's procedures and the decision reached by an Arbitration Tribunal.
