THE Ulster Council of the GAA have had no official indications from either Antrim or Down of any difficulties in going ahead with next Sunday's Ulster senior hurling final at Casement Park because of the current unrest in the province.

Last night, when the Down selectors had completed their team selection for the game, it was understood to be still going ahead.

The Ulster Council's vice-president Danny Murphy said last evening. "As far as we are concerned at the moment the game is still on. There have been no indications to us from either counties that they would have problems. Unless there was some such indication there will be no prospect of the council considering a postponement."

Down's injury problems and the recent loss of players from the panel may be reflected in selector Paul McMullan being persuaded to come out of retirement for Sunday's match.
