GROUP G:MADJID BOUGHERRA is to pay the price for his latest delayed return from international duty by being omitted from the Rangers team for tonight's tie against Stuttgart at Ibrox.
Bougherra did not reappear in Glasgow until Saturday after playing in Algeria’s World Cup play-off victory over Egypt last Wednesday. The central defender, who scored the equaliser in Stuttgart two months ago, has twice been guilty of similar misdemeanours.
Walter Smith will continue with Danny Wilson (17), alongside David Weir in central defence.
Victory over the Germans would mean the Scottish champions can still secure a Europa League place.
GROUP H:ARSENE WENGER may give Theo Walcott only his second start of the season, and his first in more than a month, in this evening's tie against Standard Liege.
Walcott was introduced from the bench in Saturday’s disjointed defeat at Sunderland, having missed five weeks after suffering medial ligament damage to his right knee.
Arsenal, who need a point to ensure progress into the knockout phase, are still adjusting to life without Robin van Persie, leaving Wenger to consider playing the 20-year-old alongside two of Carlos Vela, Andrey Arshavin and Eduardo da Silva in a front three.
Standard are still within reach of the knockout phase.
