COLLINGWOOD CUP: UCD and the University of Limerick meet today to decide which will qualify as winners of Group Two for the semi-final, knock-out stages of the intervarsity football championship in Cork.

Both finished yesterday's programme with 100 per cent records after two series of matches. And with highly impressive scoring records they go into today's game full of optimism and ambition.

UCD boosted their goals tally to 10 by repeating their five-goal performance of the first series against St Patrick's by hammering DCU 5-1. UCD scorers were Pat McWalter, Pat Burke, Niall Donnelly, Craig James and Oisín Crean.

UL beat St Patrick's 4-0 with two goals in each half. Their goals came from Scott Brady, Conor Molan, Oran Weldrick and Eoghan Poil.

The holders, UCC, looked very impressive when they maintained their winning form in Group Four by beating Dublin University 2-0.

UCC need a draw against NUI Galway today to go through to the semi-finals.
