St Mary's flanker Trevor Brennan has been suspended for two weeks following his sending off in last Saturday's AIB League match against Shannon at Templeville Road. Brennan was dismissed for two yellow card offences. He has been made to pay a heavy penalty for his indiscretions.

Originally selected as part of Ireland's 23-man squad for the Five Nations game against Wales, Brennan was due to play for the A side on Friday but now misses out. His place goes to Cork Constitution's David Corkery. The latter's promotion means that Garryowen flanker David Wallace joins the replacements.

There is one further change in that A team reserve hooker Richie Weir has cried off through injury and will be replaced by Cork Constitution's Frankie Sheahan.
